• 2-3 times per week: Test sanitizer (chlorine or bromine), pH, and alkalinity. Adjust as needed. Because swim spas run cooler than hot tubs, sanitizer burns off more slowly.
• Weekly: Rinse the filter cartridges and wipe the waterline.
• Monthly: Deep clean filters with a cartridge cleaner; inspect the cover for waterlogging.
• Every 4-6 months: Drain, flush the plumbing, clean the shell, and refill. Heavy-use households drain more often.

Saltwater sanitizing systems are common on swim spas and reduce hands-on chemical dosing, though they do not eliminate testing. Budget roughly $30-$60 a month for chemicals and filter replacement.
