What is the realistic lifespan before I am replacing things?

Expect roughly 15-20 years from a quality swim spa that is kept in balanced water and sheltered from constant UV exposure.
Component-by-component:
- Acrylic shell: Often 20+ years. Warranties on structure and surface are commonly 7-10 years.
- Pumps: 5-10 years, and generally replaceable without touching the shell.
- Heater elements: 5-10 years; shorter where water chemistry runs aggressive.
- Cover: 3-5 years. This is the most frequently replaced item and the one that most affects running cost.
- Cabinet: Synthetic cabinets outlast real wood, which needs sealing.
The fastest way to shorten that lifespan is chronically unbalanced water. The second fastest is leaving a torn or waterlogged cover in place.
